turn signal sporadically doesn't work

Our 2000 Chevy Impala has a problem with the turn signal not working sporadically which seems to be affected by moisture/rain. When I say sporadic I mean during the same day it may or may not work at any given moment - sometimes I'm at a light and it is working then it just stops...sometimes if I manually switch it up and down it will start to work. (am I really doing anything or is it just starting to owrk on it's own?. I recently "inherited" this car from my hubby and I noticed when it rained heavily there was a thin but evident stream of water coming from behind the dash which then puddled (soaked the carpet) on the passenger side floor. So I am wondering first how to seal up that leak - is it the window itself that is not sealed properly? Where do we look and what are we looking for? And second is there a connection for the turn signals in that area which could be the source of our problem? ALSO though...one can see moisture condensation inside the right front turn signal/headlamp assembly...again how to seal, where to look?
I'll thank you in advance for advice. Just call me clueless...unfortuately also broke or I'd just pay someone to fix it!

I have a 1995 Chevy Cavalier. The turn signals were acting spuraticly, they would just stay on solid and not flash or flash slow or not at all. Finally, they just stopped working period. I changed the bulbs, flasher and fuse... Still nothing. The hazzards still work. I recently replaced the turn signal switch from the dealer, and still nothing. I can't even return the part that cost $70.00+. Can someone help me... Is it in the wires? I hope not....

2001 silverado electrical problems

ive got a 2001 silverado 4x4 5.3l every so often have to jump start for some reason. if i do anything like roll the windows down or turn lights on with the truck off when i go to re start all it does is click. had battery and alternator tested and was told they were fine?dont know what else it cud be other than the battery? any help would be appricated

2000 Dodge Neon dies sporadically

My daughter has a 2001 Dodge Neon. It sporadically just dies while driving. It doesn't ever seem to die if you just let it sit and idle. When it dies the speedometer goes to zero but the radio, lights, and other electrical continues to work. When you try starting it the engine cranks just fine but never catches. If you turn off the ignition and wait awhile it will start and seems to run just fine. When trying to start it sometimes it will start after 2 minutes and sometimes you just keep trying and it takes 15 minutes.

We have taken it to two mechanics and they have had the problem occur but only while driving, so they can't figure out what is going on. They said there were no codes being put out. They have determined that the fuel pressure when trying to start it after it dies is 48psi so it isn't a fuel problem.

It seems to happen when it shifts gears, it is an automatic, but it is real hard to tell if this is a symptom or related to the cause.

Does anyone have any ideas? The car is not reliable enough to use but two different mechanics have just told us "we can't find the problem".

Tilt wheel knuckle came loose. I removed wheel and ignition cylinder to tighten the knuckle bolts. Now, car wants to cut out and die but not all the time. After I made the repair, I drove for about an hour just fine. Turned off and it restarted and drove fine. Turned off second time and it would not restart for a while. Now with ignition turned on, the cooling fan starts and the service engine light flashes.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

1988 Chrysler New Yorker electrical problems

This car was my grandfather's and has only 45,000 miles.....I inherited the car and expect my kids to put about 10,000 miles/year on it.

While driving at highway speeds, the radio quit working, warning lights(brake, open door & seatbelt) came on and EVIC display quit working. This was several weeks ago. The warning lights go off & on at will (same with radio). The EVIC display will work one time when ignition key turned on; but, won't the next time....everytime the EVIC comes on, all data is cleared...even when the EVIC works several times in a row, data is cleared (time, mileage, etc all resets).

The most unsettling thing is the brake lights. The car has anti-lock brakes. I have bled the lines. I have looked around for loose connections.

I am at my wits end....any clues?

F-150 Tail lights

My 2001 F-150 has had a problem since I bought it at the steering column where if you tilt it to any position except the very top notch, the turn signals, hazard and brake lights stop working.
Even at the top, only the driver's side tail light works.
Thinking it was too much trouble (and money) to fix it right I ran a wire from the brake light above the cab to the passenger's side tail light and I had brakes!!!! but still, no turn signal.
I ran another wire from the front turn signal(which does work) to the back(which happens to be the sameas the brake power feed) and now when I indicate a right turn everything comes on (brakes and both turn signals)
So, I disconnected the brake jumper and am left with the turn signal, but no brake light on the right side...what can I do?????

I just bought a Nissan 300ZX Turbo Tuesday night at an auction for $900, and has alot wrong with, first of all, its leaking coolant, its slow as hell (I think it needs a new fuel filter) and almost none of the electical works, the only stuff that works are the headlights (they turn on, but don't flip up) the power windows, the power seats, and the power mirrors. NOTHING else works. I have break lights, no turn signals, no interior lights, no radio, no air condiction, no windsheild wipers (front and back), etc. I checked all the fuses and they were good, I checked the relays, and the only thing I could figer out is where the one for the starter is, and that it works. I have no idea whats wrong with the electrical, or how to fix it, does anyone have any idea? I could really use some help! right now I can't legaly drive it beacouse of the lack of break lights, I need to get it to the point that I can drive it every day, so I can sell my other car.

air conditioner compressure cluch will not opperate when a/c is in full on

:w00t:I have a repair manuel but I can't find anything in it about the air conditioner compressure. Is it needed that A working relay be used too actavate the compressure clutch? and how do I find out if the relay is working or not? if it is the relay or not?
